"Ton-ton" is a Japanese onomatopoeia for patting/calming a child to sleep. Makoto Koizumi designed the Tonton chair as a heartfelt gesture for a friend in New York who was eagerly awaiting parenthood. The Tonton rocking chair, designed by Makoto Koizumi, is a versatile haven for both baby and parent. Crafted to calm and relax, its wooden frame is shaped in a smooth, flowing form using advanced bending techniques. Through ten prototypes and three years of development, the Tonton emerged as a symbol of durability and comfort. Its gentle curves tenderly cradle babies, while the adjustable pillow ensures optimum comfort for parents. Moreover, the Tonton offers more than just rocking functionality; it doubles as a cozy spot for reading or unwinding. Its comfortable high back provides ample support. With its thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship, the Tonton invites moments of peace and tranquility for the whole family.
