The R+R dining chair, crafted by Makoto Koizumi, the same designer behind the R+R counter chair, seamlessly integrates style with functionality. While its appearance appears straightforward at first glance, a closer inspection reveals gentle curves that lend it a nuanced elegance. The chair derives its name from the consistent presence of these curves, symbolized by 'R' (R) throughout its structure. One noteworthy feature of this chair is its compact dimensions, measuring a mere 38 cm in width. This makes it significantly narrower than the typical dining chair, which usually spans around 50 cm, or even the more slender Bo chair, which measures 42 cm in width. This compactness allows for the accommodation of three R+R chairs in the space where only two conventional chairs would fit, making it an ideal choice for settings with limited table space. When paired with other pieces from the R+R series, such as the R+R counter chair, it creates a cohesive aesthetic that enhances the overall ambiance of the dining or counter area.
