The Paperknife sofa, originally introduced as the 121 series, was designed in 1956 by the Danish designer Kai Kristiansen and reissued and christened the 'paperknife sofa' by the Miyazaki Chair Factory 50 years later. This renaming was no mere coincidence but a recognition of the sofa's unique armrests, reminiscent of paper-cutting scissors, a subtle yet defining detail that sets it apart. At first glance, the Paperknife sofa captivates with its sleek silhouette and knife-like arms. Yet, beyond its striking appearance lies a commitment to comfort and ergonomic excellence. The Paperknife sofa comes with either feather cushions or polyurethane filling. The feather cushions envelop you in softness and give the sofa an easygoing appearance, while the polyester cushions offer firmer support.
