Crafted with precision at the Miyazaki Chair Factory, the DC11 redefines the quality of details in wooden furniture. Each element – from the backrest to the seat and legs – is independently crafted to engage both the eye and hand, creating a harmonious balance of form, texture, and purpose. Its smooth lines and organic connections invite both visual and tactile engagement. A key challenge was integrating rigid materials like paper cord with flexible wood, particularly in the backrest. The result is a chair that is not only visually striking but also ergonomically refined, offering a balance between form and function. As the Japanese-Danish designers Inoda+Sveje describe it: "The DC11 embodies the spirit of Scandinavian modern furniture, drawing inspiration from nature's organic forms to create a design language that speaks to our innate sense of beauty and harmony.
