BAR
Design: Inoda + Sveje
BAR is a counter chair that was created as part of the DC09 and DC10 family. It’s name originates from its great comfort. It is a counter chair that is suitable for long talks, drinks and dinners at “the BAR”. Its incomparable seating comfort is due to the form of the seat that perfectly follows the anatomy of the body. Like the expression, "sitting firmly in the saddle" with the feet leaning on a brass bracket. The seating surface is sculpted out of solid wood as an organic curved surface that is ultimately ergonomic and endlessly smooth, a characteristic that is also inherent to the DC09, and designed following the typical INODA+SVEJE design technique, where the two surfaces, top and bottom, meet in a very sharp edge, as seen in all their models. The mould in brass figures as a footrest. Unique in its form due to his threedimensional design, connecting the footrest perfectly to the surfaces of each wooden leg. The footrest can be "brass (clear)" or "blackend brass (brass black painted)".
